Executive Bios
George Sipko
George Sipko is the Founder of Koger, and currently serves as Managing Director and Chief Technology Officer.
Prior to establishing Koger, Mr. Sipko was engaged in various financial software projects with such firms as KPMG and Goldman Sachs, and also served as a software consultant with a range of U.S. financial institutions. Mr. Sipko holds a double MA degree in Computer Software Science and Economics and a Ph.D in Artificial Intelligence from Kosice Technical University in Slovakia. In 1991, Mr. Sipko developed a comprehensive technology framework entitled KOGER Inherited Technology (KIT).
David Owens
David Owens has been employed in the funds industry for more than 15 years in a variety of roles both on and offshore, the last 7 of which have been spent with Koger. Prior to his appointment as Managing Director of Koger’s Sydney operation in 2008 he held the position of Deputy Head of Operations with Koger Dublin. Previous to 2003, David was the Compliance Officer of Barings (Ireland) Limited and also held positions within compliance for both BISYS Fund Services (Ireland) Limited and Barclays International Funds in Jersey, Channel Islands. David graduated from University College Dublin in 1993 with a B.Comm degree, and from UCD Smurfit Graduate School of Business in 1994 with a Masters degree in Business Studies (M.B.S). He also holds a Diploma in Public Relations from the Public Relations Institute of Ireland (PRII).
Pavol Szeles
Pavol Szeles joined Koger in January 2005 and has been Head of Koger Operations in Slovakia for over 4 years. With 22 years software development and design experience he previously held a position with Inorga Prague, a Czechoslovak software company and APEX Inc., a Slovak software house where he participated in and/or led the design and development of various mid to large scale information systems.
Pavol graduated from the Technical University of Liberec in Czechoslovakia in 1988 at the Faculty of Applied Cybernetics and holds a MSc degree.
