Koger, Inc., a leading provider of software and services to the fund industry, today announced that it has achieved the International Organization for Standardization’s (ISO) 9001:2008 certification, which demonstrates an organization’s commitment to quality-of-service standards.

The ISO 9001:2008 standard is a set of quality practices that ensures the use of effective internal processes that are consistently monitored and continually improved. STR-Registrar LLC, an independent, accredited auditing body, and recognized leader in management system registration services, conducted the audit. Koger’s entire certification process was executed over an 8 month period.

”Achieving ISO 9001:2008 certification is a terrific accomplishment for both Koger and its stakeholders”, said Ras Sipko, Chief Operating Officer at Koger, Inc. “In order to earn the certification we had to meet rigorous quality management standards for our systems and processes, which demonstrates Koger’s commitment to our clients and the quality of our products and services.”

The certificate was issued on July 11, 2011 and is valid through 2014. The scope of the registration is for the Design and Development of Fund-administration Software.

PENTAS has been developed by the user for the user and aims to significantly improve the efficiency of the processes involved in the administration of Private Equity Funds. The focus of the system is the automation and integration of processes required to efficiently and accurately administer funds, and at the same time meeting the ever-increasing and diversified reporting needs of all interested parties.

PENTAS offers users the unique combination of a robust, efficient and comprehensive system which has been built using business logic thus making it very simple to use.

PENTAS integrates fund administration functionality with the financial and portfolio accounting functionalities of IKAS, Koger’s accounting system, allowing transactions to be recorded through the system in one automated flow. This integration of functions provides greater quality of information and reduces risk of user error.

PENTAS has been designed to continuously evolve with the needs of users and the industry and its integration with ETAS, Koger’s web front-end system, enables business information flows to be managed via the web.

Koger, Inc. a leading provider of technology solutions to the fund administration industry, held its 5^th annual User Group at the renowned Marriot Marquis in the heart of New York City on November 11^th and 12^th. The two day event brought clients from around the world together to meet Koger staff and learn about upcoming product developments.

“This year’s user group was a great success”, said Ras Sipko, Koger’s COO, “It is always great to have the opportunity to discuss face to face the challenges that fund administrators encounter in their daily activities. Our user group also helps us align our vision for future enhancement and additional functionality with our clients.”

The new developments that were demonstrated at the event included; private equity capabilities, fund of funds functionality, a new accounting module, new customized workflow screens, new incentive fee methods, and many other enhancements aimed at increasing efficiencies and reducing risk in fund administration.

Koger hosted a roundtable September 16th at the Yale Club in New York City, bringing together leaders of top firms in fund administration as well as fund managers and investors. "This is our second roundtable event where we explored how investor requirements for greater transparency and improved management of liquidity are fundamentally altering the alternative investment industry. Koger, Inc., a provider of software and services for the fund administration industry, has launched the next version of NTAS, its transfer agency solution.

NTAS 10.1 introduces a number of enhancements and new features that expand the tools available to the administrator making the fund administration process more robust, faster and more automated.

‘We are very pleased with the enhancements and new features in NTAS 10.1. Our customisable workflow screens make NTAS even more user-friendly’, says Ras Sipko, Chief Operating Officer. ‘Introducing the integrated real-time accounting capabilities of IKAS into NTAS for the first time makes NTAS that much more comprehensive in its reach and its linkage with the Fund of Funds module makes the Fund of Funds administration process more dynamic and information-rich’.

Enhancements and new features in NTAS 10.1 include:

• Customisable workflow screens that allow users to gather together common tasks on one screen to speed up day-to-day operations.
• IKAS, a new real-time accounting system that allows users to create Fund of Fund investment portfolios, investment pricing for portfolios and create associated journal entries.
• New Fund of Fund module that facilitates the linking of external investment funds with funds administered on NTAS.
• An Asset Allocation module which can create a variety of fund structures with multiple layers, such as Master/Feeder.
• Enhanced Private Equity capabilities including creating batch capital call orders which can be created based on percentage of the fund capital or on a specified amount.

Koger once again participated in the GAIM Ops event that took place between 1 and 3 March 2010 at the Ritz-Carlton on Grand Cayman. Koger was one of 12 exhibitors and approximately 310 delegates. The event focused specifically on alternative investment operational due diligence, risk management and compliance, making it an important annual event in the industry. The event was, as with previous years, a great success and a significant number of topical issues were discussed. Some of these issues were reorganizing the hedge fund industry after recent events such as Madoff, recovering investors’ trust, new fee structures, the expanded role of government in hedge funds and the debate over the convergence of hedge funds and mutual funds.

Enhancements in GRID Include:
